Koh Murao
Koh Murao was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to New York in 2008.Murao discovered his love for sketching comic book characters began at a very young age, and at nine he began painting lessons. He later continued his studies in Illustration and Design at Tama Art University in Tokyo. Murao’s work draws inspiration from early childhood memories of rural landscapes, picture books, and comics. He enjoys playing with allegory and often places characters in fantasy worlds reminiscent of the fables he loved as a boy.
Other inspiration come from modern art, especially Surrealism. His greatest satisfaction comes from observing his influence on viewers who are moved to invent stories inspired by the work. Murao has previously exhibited in Tokyo and has received many awards, including: Nika Design Award Special Prize (2003, 2004); Mainichi Advertising Design Competition Award (2003); Chiba Design Award Special Prize (2004); NY Coo Gallery Open Art Contest Choice Award (2007).

He has always been an artist since then. It was his highshool graduation when he started to desire to be an artist seriously. He entered an art school in Osaka, and spent 2 years as an art student. -Reinforcing and wire products; After he graduated from the art school, he started working for a reinforcing and wire product company in Osaka. It had been quite an experience for him, because, to him, reinforcing and wire product was nothing but art. This is how he started making steel object. Not only his painting but also his steel work has so many fans, and this is one of the most interesting features of his career. His painting also is the original. Spiritual, energy-full and evoking. Hiroshi Nakamura
Hiroshi Nakamura has lived with nature’s bounty in Fukuoka and cultivated an ability to discern nature’s multiple aspects. At the age of 21, he set his face toward becoming a photographer and moved to the USA. He always desires that output from his heart should make people feel warm inside. In 2007, he decided to make NY his base because he was fascinated by the boundless energy which NY gives off. He depicts existing problems in the world and people’s deep psyche. Meanwhile, he portarays the grandeur of nature and the human condition, the beauty of color, and even the delicacy of decay. He pursues “the moment” through his eyes and he is planning to focus on portraits which capture our way of life.
